Property Protection Trust
Protect your share of your home from possible future events
Service Description
A Property Protection Trust (PPT) is a type of trust often included in a will to help safeguard your share of a property for your chosen beneficiaries, typically your children, while still allowing a surviving spouse or partner to live in the home for life. When the first partner passes away, their share of the property is placed into the trust rather than passing directly to the survivor. This means the surviving partner can continue living in the property, move to another home if needed, or even downsize, but they never fully own the deceased’s share. This arrangement helps protect your assets from being used to pay for future care fees or from being inherited by someone else if the survivor remarries. A Property Protection Trust therefore offers both flexibility and security, allowing you to provide for your loved one while ensuring your share of the home ultimately passes to your intended beneficiaries.
